Eggshells can attract snakes from as far away as 15 kilometers. Snakes are known to prey on chickens, rats, frogs, and anything else they can swallow.
It's important to know that all snakes are poisonous, except pythons. However, the speed at which their venom circulates and the strength of the poison can both vary. Tying a bandage or tourniquet around a snake bite can cause swelling and may paralyze the affected area. Trekking after being bitten increases the poison's circulation speed, potentially leading to death.
On the other hand, drinking cold water from the fridge can slow down
the poison's flow. Remaining calm and minimizing movement also help. Chewing
pawpaw leaves and swallowing the liquid can halt the poison's spread until
medical treatment is available.
If a snake spits its deadly venom into someone's eye, prompt medical
attention can prevent severe damage. However, if the venom enters the nose, the
victim can die within minutes.
Even more dangerous than snakes is the wall gecko. It is deadlier
because if it licks a toothbrush and someone uses it without washing it first,
the person could die. The gecko's feces can also be lethal, so it's crucial to
cover your pots and water containers.
